Our client in Hertfordshire, UK, is looking for an MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Project Manager to join them for a TrakSYS implementation project and Project Manage the Integration of MES systems into SAP which is the clients core ERP system.

The role:
The purpose of the Project Manager is to deliver the appropriate changes to the IT landscape in support of business change activities, utilising the IT governance framework, IT internal processes and appropriate IT-skilled resources. This role will be responsible for the delivery of the TrakSYS application across sites within the EMEA region. The contractor will also support pilot and proof of concept projects where future functionality of TrakSYS or other MES / MOM applications can be demonstrated. They will also help manage the integration of MES applications with SAP (The client is currently in the process of global IT transformation with several large programmes running and about to start. This includes a global SAP programme, the implementation of SAP as a core ERP system is planned over a 4-year period.

Experience required:
* Experience of managing application project implementations
* Experience integrating MOM/MES applications with an ERP (ideally SAP)
* Significant experience of MOM/MES implementation project planning and managing teams
* Previous experience of working in a lead role on template solution design and subsequent deployment(s)
* Experience of managing project financials and realising benefits to business areas
* Experience of implementing multi-divisional, multi-regional projects
* Project Management Qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM or PMI)
* Ability to support the business through a planned process of change and building support for new processes
* Experience of facilitating sessions with key stakeholders and end-users
* In depth knowledge of manufacturing or quality processes within a Global organisation

Key responsibilities:
* Adopting and utilising the IT Project delivery framework, including resource management and planning tools
* Ensuring the delivery of the project within the IT Project governance frameworks and associated stage gates, including provision of financial and performance reporting
* Ensuring the delivered solution is in line with the requirements of IT policies, including IT Security requirements and meets the requirements of the Information Security Strategy
* Coordinating the Sector / Business Unit requirements into the delivery of the project, meeting the agreed quality and project performance standards as agreed with the sponsor
* Engaging with project stakeholders
* Developing and maintaining the project management products
* Controlling the day-to-day activities of the project to meet the Sponsor’s specified outputs for the project
* Ensuring inclusion and liaison with BIS operational teams to ensure the successful deployment into the IT landscape
* Coordinating and executing technical and quality reviews of project deliverables
* Planning and preparing the delivery of committed benefits
* Tracking progress of the schedule, quality and costs
* Tracking risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, scope changes, actions and decisions, escalating as appropriate
* Overseeing delivery of any third party vendors and suppliers in line with contracted outcomes
* Tracking and managing all project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
