Warehouse Operations Workstream Lead / WMS Key User – English Speaking – Porto Area, Portugal. End Client. Start: April 2020 onwards. Permanent Position. Salary: €25K – €40K (Depending on experience). Job ID: 3452

Our end-client, a well known Retail company in the Porto Area, Portugal, is currently looking for a Warehouse Operations Workstream Lead  / WMS Key User (The client uses SAP EWM as their WMS – Previous experience in SAP EWM not required. Full Training in SAP EWM given! Experience with any other WMS is OK).

We are looking for candidates who are pro-active, ambitious and motivated to develop a career as Warehouse Operations speciliasts, where you’ll play a key role in setting up Warehouses from scratch for our client!  While doing so, you’ll become an SAP EWM Key User in order to ensure all business processes are carried out accordingly.  You’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest version of the SAP system – S/4HANA!

Job Description:
The objective of the position is to provide support to your line manager in the professional and people management of the assigned warehouse processes department. In addition, the holder of the position is responsible together with their line manager for the creation of the organisational requirement for ensuring the fulfilment of tasks in their department.

The holder of the position essentially has the following responsibilities, in agreement with their line manager:
* Operational Concept
* Responsibility for the day-to-day business in the department
* Cross-departmental coordination of processes
* Further development and optimisation of warehouse processes
* Implementation of new concepts

Cross-departmental activities
* Maintenance of storage-related master data
* Monitoring of warehouse cockpits
* Control of the balance between system inventory and Goods-Out load carriers
* Control of warehouse resources
* System control of returns processing
* Processing complaints from stores, write-offs, inventory differences and customer complaints (store, interfacing departments)
* Analysis of inventory count results and instigating inventory counts
* Immediate reporting of safety-related defects and repair requirements for work equipment, technical installations and warehouse facilities to his immediate line manager
* Documentation of system problems and gaps in processes

Activities in the Goods-Receive Work Stream
* Maintaining time windows and coordination of bay allocations
* Recording delivery notes, checking for differences and booking goods-in
* Consultation with Sales Promotional Activities in the event of errors occurring (e.g. missing orders, differences)
* Dealing with RHV drivers
* Processing the clearing areas
* Clarification of differences between the delivery note and the invoice by invoice verification

Activities in the Goods Issue Work Stream (order-picking area)
* Processing store orders (e.g. plausibility checks)
* Performing a simulation and approval of picking waves
* Coordination of processing of demolition pallets
* Ensuring the replenishment of pallets

Activities in the TOMS (Transport) Work Stream area
* Transport planning (packaging and floor area planning, monitoring of delivery quality)
* Dealing with RHV drivers (load delivery reports, internal mail to and from stores, tools)
* Maintaining / updating G-O forms (e.g. collection of recyclables)
* Supporting the creation of forwarders’ accounts

MFS (control of automatic systems)
* Monitoring the availability of systems and the material flows
* Controlling data quality
* Reporting incidents
* Coordination and support of operations at the interfaces between the system and the conventional area

Activities in the KPIs area
* Responsible for the continuous analysis and assurance of achievement of KPIs goals.
* Involvement in KPI meetings

SAP EWM Key User Activities
* You will be provided with full training on the client’s IT/ERP WMS system: SAP EWM in order to become a proficient Key User
* You will assist with making small changes to the system, as well as providing user requirements to the IT team when rolling out to new Warehouses

Travel:
* After the initial 1 month period in Porto, you’ll have to travel and stay in Madrid for 4 months in order to receive your training in SAP EWM
* All expenses such as travel, accommodation and car rental will be covered by the client
* During the 4 Months period, you’ll be entitled to 1 flight ticket per month to your home
