Our end-client in Spain has a fantastic opportunity for a fluent English Speaking SAP ABAP Developer to join their in-house team. In this role you will get the opportunity to develop in the very latest technologies like FIORI and UI5. If you have experience in FIORI / UI5, then this is a great company to continue to build your development career in. If you don’t have any experience with FIORI / UI5, don’t worry because the company will provide you with full training.
The company has 2 offices based in Barcelona. Ideally they would like candidates to work in one of these offices 6 days per month (you have the freedom to choose which days you want to work in the office), however, if you live outside of Barcelona (or are only open to 100% remote work) then you can work 100% remotely from home. There is no need to relocate to Barcelona unless you really want to. If you do want to relocate, the company can assist you.

Between September to May you work Monday – Thursday 8.25 hours and on Friday’s you only work 7.15 hours. During the months of July and August you only work 7.15 hours every day.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development and optimization of complex, tailor-made SAP solutions to support all business processes in the supply chain environment based on SAP S/4HANA.
- Linking between development processes and product owners at operational level.
- Development of backend and frontend components using the latest SAP development tools (SAP FIORI, UI5, Web IDE) and methods (CDS Views, OData Services, BOPF, ABAP, ABAP OO) – training will be given if you do not have all of these skills yet.
- Definition and implementation of integration scenarios in a hybrid SAP system landscape using modern integration tools such as SAP PI/PO, SAP HANA Cloud Integration, API etc.
- Design and detailing of automation solutions to realize process optimization potential.
- Advising/coaching other chapter colleagues on how to solve technical problems on an operational level and how to work to improve development processes.
- Conception and implementation of projects in the context of the SAP supply chain.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must have at least 8 years experience in SAP ABAP / ABAP-OO, HANA, CDS, OData
- Must have experience developing in the following SAP modules: MM and SD.
- Must have experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Excellent knowledge of modern SAP development processes and frameworks.
- Sound experience with SAP platforms
- Strong problem-solving skills and focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Passion for current trends in software design and architecture.
- Experience in promoting and coaching colleagues.
- Willingness to travel within the EU 2-3 times a year.
Nice to have but not mandatory:
- Experience ideally in agile product environments/teams.
- Development experience in FIORI / UI5 is nice to have (the company can provide you with full training)
- Experience with Web IDE, BOPF, OAA, DTA are nice to have
Languages:
- Must be fluent in English (minimum C1 level)
Salary:
- The salary on offer is subject to your level of skills, knowledge and experience and ranges from €50,000 – €65,000 gross per annum

You must reside within Spain:
- This role is based in Spain and you must live/relocate somewhere within the Spanish territories, either mainland Spain or on any other Spanish island (territory) as you will be offered a Spanish employment contract.
Relocation Assistance:
- The company offers a relocation package of up to €2500 to help you to relocate to Barcelona
