SAP HCM-PT (Personnel Time Management) Consultant – English Speaking – Barcelona, Spain – (60% Remote work). Permanent Job. Flexible Start Date from April 2024 Onwards. Salary Range: €43,000 – €55,000 Gross per annum + Great Company Fringe Benefits. END-CLIENT!

Our end-client, a well known multi-national company with annual profits in the billions is opening a new SAP HCM Functional Consulting team in their Barcelona (Spain) office.  This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the first two people to join this new team.  The company has plans to expand the team further during the course of 2024.  This is an exciting opportunity to work with the latest cutting edge technologies and work on global projects especially the transformation to S/4HANA which will be starting soon.

Required Skills and Experience:
SAP functional knowledge:

  • Must have at least 3 years of SAP HCM-PT (Personnel Time Management) Functional Consulting experience
  • You should have a good technical background to understand how the custom development works, to investigate the incidents and provide a technical solution to fix them
  • Finds their way around time management.
  • Knows the appropriate IT
  • Understands how time evaluation works
  • Knows what schemas & rules are (does not need to be developed)
  • Knows simpler customizing (absences, etc.)
  • Understands the interrelationships of time management
  • You should be able to handle PA20 and PA30 within Personnel Administration (PA)
  • You should know the relationship between PT and PY (Payroll)
  • You should know the relationship between PA and OM
  • You should know positions, organ units, relationships, etc.
  • Good clear and concise communication to explain technical problems

Nice to have but not mandatory:

  • It would be nice if you know about Authorizations:
    • Understand how roles are structured & how the various components are interrelated
    • Understands how structural profiles work
    • Knows what a context solution is
  • It would be nice if you know about ALE Distribution (Interface):
    • Understands what a distribution model is
    • Can analyze iDocs
    • Knows basic interface problems and how to respond to them
  • It would be nice if you know about Customizing:
    • Knows various customizing options (SPRO, view clusters, features).
    • Moves confidently in the system (where-used list, etc.)
    • Moves confidently in customer’s own structures
  • It would be nice if you know about Fiori:
    • Understands how a launchpad is built (backend / GateWay)
    • Knows possible sources of errors in Fiori applications
    • Understands the interaction between the Front End & Back End
      • Can assign errors to the respective component
    • Ideally: Can debug frontend applications
  • It would be nice if you know about ABAP development:
    • Can read ABAP code and understand what is happening
    • Can debug to analyze error cases
    • Can technically specify developments


  • Must have strong English language skills (reading, writing and speaking).  Minimum B2 level.

Remote Working:

  • The company has a hybrid working model:
    • 60% remote work per month!
    • You will have the freedom to choose which days you want to work in the office and which days to work remotely.
    • There is no set schedule and you have complete freedom to pick and choose your own working schedule to an extent.  There will be some days when a team meeting is scheduled and you must attend the office on the specified day.


  • The salary on offer is subject to your level of skills, knowledge and experience and ranges between €43,000 – €55,000 gross per annum.
