SAP BASIS Administrator

SAP BASIS Administrator - English Speaking - Location: 100% Remote from Anywhere in Europe. Permanent Job on a B2B basis. Flexible Start Date from January 2026 Onwards. Salary €50,000 - €67,000 gross per annum.

Our client is a consulting firm seeking to expand their SAP BASIS team.  This is a permanent job, but they are looking to hire on a B2B (Business-to-Business) basis.  You will be working 100% remotely from home and therefore can live in any European country.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of SAP systems, including SAP HANA, ECC, and S/4HANA, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance requirements.
• Monitor system performance and proactively optimize SAP applications and databases to ensure optimal resource utilization and reliability.
• Conduct regular system maintenance activities, including backups, patching, and system refreshes, to maintain system integrity and availability.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex SAP Basis issues, coordinating with various stakeholders to resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
• Develop and document system procedures, operational guidelines, and best practices to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SAP project implementations, enhancements, and integrations with other systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with a strong focus on HANA and S/4HANA environments.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP architecture and components, including transport management, client administration, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in managing SAP systems on both Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
• Solid experience with SAP BTP, including SAP Workzone, SAP Integration Suite, SAP IPS, Cloud Identity
• Strong understanding of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
• Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools such as SAP EarlyWatch or third-party monitoring solutions.
• Knowledge of system security best practices, including user management and role-based access control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving system issues.
• Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with in-person teamwork and knowledge sharing.
• Adaptability to change and a continuous learning mindset to keep up with evolving SAP technologies.

 Nice to have but not mandatory:

• Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate).
• Familiarity with cloud-based SAP solutions and working with cloud environments  AWS and etc
• In-depth knowledge of SSO technologies
• Familiarity with SAP BO and Data Services
• Proficiency with Linux and Linux Clusters

Salary:

• €50,000 - €67,000 gross per annum.
• The company is looking to hire on a B2B (Business-to-Business) basis.

Remote Working:

• You can work 100% remotely from any country within Europe
• You can NOT work remotely from outside of Europe.

Other Information:

• Sponsorship for a European work visa is not possible.
• All applicants must therefore have the right to work within their respective countries.
• 8 hours per day between 08:00 - 18:00 Eastern European time zone i.e. Bulgaria/Greece Time.
