The Portuguese Labour Law has established a maximum of 8 working hours a day and 40 per week.
Portugal has a good standard of living and reasonable costs. Generally, you can live well for €1068 a month as a single person including rent, though this does rise to €1483 in Lisbon. A family of four can expect to need €2483 on average in Portugal and €3383 in Lisbon.
Along with a completed visa application, the following documents must be submitted:
– A passport that has a minimum of two blank pages and photo in colour
– An invitation from the employer
– Proof of health insurance
– Biometric data such as fingerprints and digital photos for facial recognition
– Flight reservations
– Proof of accommodation, such as an address of residence or a hotel reservation.
