SAP FI / E-invoicing Functional Analyst - English Speaking - Remote Role. Start Date. 4th May 2026. 5 months+ Contract Assignment. End Client.
Our client, in the Chemical sector, is looking to hire an SAP ECC FI (Finance) Consultant with e-Invoicing experience (any E-invoicing such as Vertex, SAP VIM, PEPPOL, KSeF, Kofax, SAP DRC or PDPs) to support the integration of Vertex e-Invoicing with SAP ECC EHP8 as part of a global statutory compliance program (prior Vertex experience is not needed). The engagement will focus on translating business and regulatory requirements into functional and testable scenarios, supporting gap analysis, and enabling successful testing and implementation/rollout.
Vertex e-Invoicing is a relatively new solution in the market; therefore, prior Vertex experience is not mandatory. Experience in any e-Invoicing or digital invoicing solution will suffice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse e-Invoicing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and statutory requirements
- Map business requirements and scenarios to functional and test scenarios
- Identify gaps, ambiguities, and risks across requirements, processes, and test coverage
- Support SAP ECC EHP8 inbound and outbound e-Invoice processes (AP and AR)
- Support integration-related discussions between SAP ECC and Vertex e-Invoicing
- Assist with test preparation, test scenario definition, and data validation
- Support UAT execution, defect analysis, and resolution discussions
- Work closely with IT, integration teams, business users, and Vertex stakeholders
- Contribute to functional documentation, mapping documents, and gap logs
- Support multi-country e-Invoicing rollout activities
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in e-Invoicing or electronic invoicing programs (tool-agnostic)
- Good functional understanding of SAP ECC FI / AP / AR processes
- Experience translating business and regulatory requirements into functional and test scenarios
- Experience with requirement-to-test traceability and gap analysis
- Exposure to integration-driven environments involving ERP and external platforms
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills
Must Have:
- Exposure to e-Invoicing frameworks
- Knowledge of EU e-Invoicing standards (e.g., EN 16931, CTC models)
- Experience supporting UAT or compliance-driven implementations
- Multi-country or global rollout experience
