SAP JOB VACANCY:
SAP PP / PP-PI Consultant

SAP PP / PP-PI Consultant - English Speaking - Madrid, Spain. Hybrid Job (3 days onsite / 2 days remote per week). Start: 27th July 2026. 5 Month Contract.

Our client based in Madrid, Spain requires an SAP PP / PP-PI (Production Planning / Process Industries) Consultant to join them, starting towards the end of July / beginning of August 2026 for a 5 month assignment until the end of the year.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience delivering SAP PP solutions, SAP configurations and customisation.
• Preparing SAP PP functional specifications and test cases.
• Strong understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes.
• Proven track record of solution design, implementation, and support in complex and regulated organizational landscapes.
• Understanding of product lifecycle management, value stream principles, and best practices in SAP delivery.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on maintaining data quality, compliance, and risk mitigation
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working cross-functionally with business, technical teams, and end users.
• High standards of professional ethics, customer orientation, and the ability to thrive in multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
• Should ideally have knowledge of using systems like SAP Solution Manager (SolMan), SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Signavio.
• Willingness to travel on occasion.

Nice To Have But Not Mandatory:

• Experience with SAP PP-PI is nice to have
• Experience in process industry e.g., Forest Products, Mills, Packaging, Mining, Chemicals is nice to have
• Experience with S/4HANA is nice to have
• Experience with MM, QM and LO-VC is nice to have

Main Duties:
1. Support, BPI & project delivery

• Address and resolve support tasks for their area, including L1.5 to L3 issues (BPIs, changes, bugs, etc.).
• Research potential solution improvements and issue corrections, proactively identifying and proposing business process and solution enhancements.
• Gather and prioritize product requirements, working with Global & Local Key Users to elicit requirements.
• Provide estimations for delivering solutions.
• Refine business requirements, design solutions, perform SAP configuration, specify developments, test, ensuring solution alignment with business requirements.
• Prepare functional specifications and test cases for any custom development.
• Unit and integration testing of solutions before releasing them for user acceptance testing. Assist end users during UAT.
• Document changes, improvements, and newly implemented business processes, maintaining documentation related to support activities, configurations, and customizations.
• Provide materials and training to Regional & Local Key Users, promoting effective utilization of SAP solutions.
• Perform cutover and migration tasks, ensuring seamless transition and handover of solutions to the wider team.
• Ensure the integrity of core solutions for their area and integration with adjacent areas, taking operational responsibility for the SAP products.
• Ensure work is delivered and complies with all working procedures, safeguarding the core solution principles.

2. Stakeholder collaboration

• Discuss solution enhancements with the Product Manager, escalating issues or conflicts with SW core solution principles.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure the technical feasibility and integrity of product features.
• Collaborate with Service Managers to ensure consistent operational practices across products and act as a liaison between business functions and technical teams (Development Factory, Basis, Security & Access).
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other project team members to deliver project work, e.g., estimating WBS elements for delivery, conducting workshop sessions, performing data collection, identifying solution enhancements, delivering the business blueprint, designing solutions, performing configurations, specifying developments, testing, conducting training sessions, performing cutover and migration tasks, etc.

Languages:

• Must be fluent in English (Minimum C1 level in reading, writing, speaking)

Work load:

• Earliest possible start date: 27th July 2026
• Latest possible start date: 10th August 2026
• 5 Month contract until 31st December 2026 (possibility of further extension)
• Full-time assignment - 5 days per week Monday - Friday
• 8 hours per day

Remote Work:

• This is a hybrid role and you must be onsite in Madrid 3 days per week.
• Only a maximum of 2 days per week of remote work is permitted.
