SAP S/4HANA Pre-Sales Consultant (Brownfield + Private Cloud + RISE) - English Speaking – Location: USA. Remote Work From Home (with some occasional travel). Permanent (Full-time) Job. Flexible Start Date from November 2026 Onwards. Fixed Basic Salary between USD $175k - $210k/annum + 30% Bonus. OTE: $250k - $300k/annum + Corporate Fringe Benefits.
Our client is an SAP Build Partner headquartered in the USA and a pioneer in AI technologies: they have developed an agentic orchestration platform whose AI agents dramatically accelerate SAP S/4HANA implementations and project delivery. A start-up backed by $20m of venture capital to expand rapidly, they are looking for an SAP S/4HANA Pre-Sales Consultant with Brownfield migration, Private Cloud and RISE experience to strengthen their internal team.
SAP transformations move billions of dollars and thousands of consultants, yet almost none of the knowledge they generate is captured: it lives in people’s heads and is rebuilt from scratch on the next project. Their platform fixes that, coordinating every phase of an S/4HANA transformation and capturing decisions, tests and context as a by-product of the work, so organizational memory compounds project after project. For an experienced SAP professional that means applying hard-won expertise to a product thousands of consultants will use, rather than running the same project for the tenth time; working with a team rooted at Stanford, Meta AI, Microsoft, NASA and SAP; and holding real equity in that trajectory. You'll work alongside Top-tier partners, the best names in the ecosystem and more without the billable-hour treadmill of a pure consulting role. Your experience is the differentiator.
The Opportunity:
You will be the SAP voice and technical subject-matter expert in sales conversations. Having spent years inside S/4HANA programs, you know the pain first-hand (the documents, configuration write-ups, test scripts and gates that slip) and will now sell the software that removes it: making the AI platform credible to technical buyers, SI delivery leaders, solution architects and CIO teams by showing exactly where it fits into a real S/4HANA program and why it matters, working alongside the Account Executives and bringing what you hear in the field back to the product team.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years in SAP from a functional consulting background in any module.
- Solid SAP pre-sales, solution engineering or bid/RFP experience at an SI or software vendor.
- S/4HANA transformation experience with first-hand knowledge of the pain points: Activate gates, estimation, scope and change control, RAID, cutover and hypercare.
- Earlier career as an SAP Module Lead, Project Manager or Solution Architect.
- Brownfield conversion experience to SAP Private Cloud under RISE.
- Deep understanding of fit-to-standard and design workshops: how they run, where they break and what they produce.
- Global SI background (Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, IBM, Cognizant, Wipro, PwC, NTT Data, SAP or similar); pre-sales experience from small and medium-sized consultancies will also be considered.
- Strong customer presence: comfortable presenting, demoing and handling objections with technical and executive audiences.
- A clear writer, able to turn a discovery call into a crisp proposal.
Nice to have but not mandatory:
- Greenfield implementation experience on S/4HANA Public Cloud.
- Integration experience across the enterprise landscape (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow, CPI, BTP).
- Exposure to ALM and test tooling (Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, Signavio, Tricentis, Worksoft).
- Industry depth in manufacturing, CPG, life sciences, retail or logistics.
- Hands-on exposure to AI tooling.
What You'll Do:
- Run the technical side of the sale: discovery, customer presentations and solution walkthroughs with SI and enterprise audiences.
- Demo the platform against real program scenarios, showing how it supports fit-to-standard, configuration, documentation and testing across the SAP Activate phases.
- Own technical proposals: scope deployments, write solution overviews and answer the technical sections of RFPs and security questionnaires.
- Do light solution design: map a customer’s program, landscape and deployment model (RISE Private Cloud or Public Cloud) to how the platform would be rolled out.
- Be the credible SAP voice in the room, explaining the platform’s value in a technical audience’s language and handling hard questions on clean core, extensibility, integration and testing.
- Feed the product with structured customer and prospect feedback on gaps, objections and use cases.
Languages:
- Fluent English, as close to native level as possible, in speaking, reading and writing.
Reasons to join the company:
You will sell something you wish you had had earlier in your career, having lived the problem it solves; stay close to real programs, SI delivery teams, CIO conversations and live deployments without being tied to one project; see your field feedback go straight to the people building the product; work directly with the founders and customers in a small team with no layers in between; and hold early equity in a problem with an obvious buyer, since every SI and every enterprise running a transformation already pays for this pain in people.
Working Hours:
- Core hours are 8 per day, Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 18:00 with an hour for lunch.
- The business has genuine peaks (critical projects, larger implementations, important deadlines) when the team needs to step up, so you must be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and prepared, when necessary, to work longer hours including the occasional weekend.
- You must also be flexible to work outside standard hours to accommodate other US and global time zones, for example later evening meetings, compensated with a later start or earlier finish the following day. There is no requirement to work on Saturdays; on rare occasions you may be asked to join a team meeting on a Sunday for 1–2 hours at most.
Salary Package:
- The fixed basic salary depends on your skills, knowledge and experience and ranges from USD $175,000 to $210,000 per annum, plus a 30% bonus (OTE $250,000–$300,000)
- Plus stock options, giving you a real stake in a fast-growing, well-funded company.
Corporate Fringe Benefits:
- Medical, dental, vision and life insurance;
- 401(k) retirement plan;
- Health Savings Account (depending on the medical plan selected) and Flexible Spending Account;
- Employee Assistance Program; commuter and transit benefits; meal allowance;
- Voluntary supplemental benefits including accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity insurance;
- Optional legal assistance plan; identity theft and online security protection; pet insurance options; and access to additional employee health, wellness and discount programs.
Remote Working:
Live anywhere in the USA and work mostly remotely from home. Most sales meetings are held online (Zoom, MS Teams), so travel to customer sites for meetings and demos is rare, estimated at a couple of times per month when really necessary, plus a visit to HQ once per quarter.
Work Visas:
The company is open to sponsoring a US work visa (H-1B), but because of the processing time the first round of selection will consider candidates who hold US citizenship or already have a valid H-1B; all other applicants will be kept on hold.
