SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Consultant (Business-Side)

SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Consultant (Business-Side) – London, UK + UK Travel (Up to 50% Remote Working) - Start Date: 4th January 2027. 12-Month+ Contract. End Client. Outside IR35. Expenses Paid.

Our well-known end client in London, UK, is looking for an SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Consultant to join them on the Business-side as they embark on a major Greenfield SAP S/4HANA transformation across multiple UK business with multiple Non-SAP legacy systems.

The role will involve providing authoritative guidance and hands-on business-side delivery leadership across the full data migration deployment lifecycle, including data extraction, transformation, profiling, cleansing, mapping, validation, testing, cutover and hypercare.

You will act as the key link between the UK business, the internal SAP leadership team and the Systems Integrator (SI), ensuring data is accurate, validated and ready for migration.

Loading of data to SAP will be led and managed by the SI. This role is responsible for all business-side ETL activities and data preparation up to load-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business-side SAP S/4HANA data migration activities across multiple UK business units and legacy systems.
• Manage and support ETL activities, including data extraction, transformation, profiling, cleansing, mapping and validation.
• Work closely with business teams across Finance, Procurement and Asset Management.
• Coordinate with business data owners, SAP functional teams, the Global Template Owner and SI delivery teams.
• Ensure data quality, readiness and business sign-off throughout testing, cutover and hypercare.
• Manage stakeholder engagement, workshops, documentation and migration governance.

Skills & Experience Required:

• 5+ years of SAP data migration experience, including substantial recent SAP S/4HANA experience.
• At least two full end-to-end Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience working on the business-side as an SAP Data Migration Consultant.
• Strong hands-on ETL experience, including extracting, transforming and preparing data from multiple non-SAP legacy systems.
• Experience with SAP migration and ETL tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, LTMC, SAP Data Services or equivalent.
• Practical SAP Information Steward experience, including data profiling, quality assessments, rules, scorecards and dashboards.
• Proven experience leading data migration across multiple business units, sites or legal entities.
• Strong business-facing data migration leadership, covering cleansing, mapping, validation, testing, cutover and hypercare.
• Experience working with Global Template Owners, Business Process Owners (BPOs), functional teams and Systems Integrators.
• Ability to join an established transformation programme, quickly understand existing decisions and deliver immediate value.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, workshop facilitation and documentation skills.

Location: London-based, with up to 50% remote working from home and regular travel to other UK sites. Business travel expenses paid.
