Senior SAP S/4HANA SD / MM Consultant

Our client based in Budapest, Hungary is a multinational company operating in over 100 countries. They are embarking on an exciting journey to implement SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and are building a new European in-house SAP Team based in Budapest. They are looking for an experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA SD (Sales & Distribution) / MM (Materials Management) Consultant to support the implementation, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the ERP Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes for all the European subsidiaries. This position will be responsible for managing SAP Public Cloud SCM modules SD & MM, supporting daily operations, and ensuring stable ERP performance aligned with business requirements.

The role will also actively participate in global S/4HANA rollout and enhancement projects across overseas subsidiaries and work as a member of the Global ERP Implementation Organization, collaborating closely with global business and IT teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with implementation and roll out, then provide day-to-day operational support and assist for SAP Public Cloud SCM modules SD & MM, ensuring stable system performance and business continuity.
• 60% focus on SD
• 40% focus on MM
• Manage incident resolution, service requests, and user support related to procurement, inventory management, production planning, and logistics processes.
• Perform configuration adjustments and minor enhancements to support evolving business requirements.
• Coordinate with local supply chain and logistics teams to ensure accurate transaction processing and operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, identify operational risks, and implement preventive measures to ensure system stability.
• Manage change requests, testing, and deployment activities following global ERP governance procedures.
• Participate in global ERP rollout and enhancement projects for overseas subsidiaries as an SAP SCM functional consultant.
• Conduct requirement analysis, solution design, system configuration, testing, and go-live support activities.
• Collaborate with global project teams, integration partners, and business stakeholders to ensure successful ERP implementation.
• Support global template standardization and localization requirements for regional business units.
• Work closely with the Global ERP organization to maintain system standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration documentation, and operational procedures.
• Provide user training and operational guidance for supply chain and operations users when necessary.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the ERP environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in both SAP SD and MM functional consulting
• At least 2 years of experience in operating and delivering projects on either SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or S/4HANA On-Premise.
• Must have customising experience in both SAP SD and MM
• Strong functional knowledge of supply chain processes including procurement, inventory management and logistics execution.
• Experience supporting SAP ERP system operation, incident handling, and user support activities.
• Experience participating in SAP ERP implementation or rollout projects.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with global business users, IT, and external partners.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into functional system solutions.
• Experience working in multinational or global ERP environments is preferred.
• You must be willing to travel internationally 4 - 6 times per year.

Languages:

• Must be fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)

Remote Working:

• A maximum of 2 days per week of remote work is permitted.
