Eursap's SAP Tips: Using the insert and override buttons in your SAP GUI.
Here’s a handy tip for all you SAP GUI users.
When using SAP GUI, you can activate the “Insert” or “Override” options for text fields without having to do this on your keyboard.
So, for example, if you want to be able to override text in a field, just click on the INS button in the bottom right of your GUI screen:

The option then changes to OVR:

Then to switch back to “Insert” just click it again.
This means you can use your “Insert” option in all other applications, such as Microsoft applications, etc. by using the “Insert” button on your keyboard, whilst at the same time having the override option activated for your SAP screens.
Or vice versa!
