Eursap's SAP Tips: Using the Personalized Search Option in SAP Fiori.

In previous tips, we have shown the capabilities of the Fiori enterprise search. This is a powerful tool to be able to access data and documents in the Fiori launchpad by using search strings.

This search can be enhanced by using personalisation options in the search functionality. This is a useful function as Fiori will track your search behaviour so as to personalise the suggestions as you type in the search bar. Background algorithms are used to achieve this, thus providing contextual results tailored to the user.

To switch on personalisation, follow the below steps.

1. From the Fiori launchpad, select “Settings” under your user profile:

2. Select “User Profiling” from the options on the left side. This opens the right side panel, where you can select the check box to switch on Personalized Search.
