Eursap’s Tip of the Week: Shortcuts to SAP Customising

When looking at a data field in SAP, it is sometimes useful to know how to get directly to the customising for that field.

This is nice and simple. Position your cursor on the field in question and hit the F1 key. This opens up the Performance Assistance box, from where you can click on the Customising button, as highlighted in the screenshot below.


Select “Continue without specifying project” from the next pop-up box and you will be shown a customising menu as below.

From here, you can navigate directly to the customising menu path for the object in question.

Additionally, if you know the table in SAP but you need to know how to get to the customising path, use transaction SM30, enter the table number and then click on the Customising button, as seen below.
